Paint Pens 02:35
I drew little ghosts in red and white ink across the country in hopes that they’d guide me home when I found my way back it was all an apparition to begin with one year passed, I met a dead stare at three in the morning i met that cold stare at 3am swing swing swing of the pendulum beneath my grip and a three word strangle hold that gripped my bending spine and contorted my figure, those fiendish little ghosts, guardian specters parking meters, delineations, and basement walls were all given a voice they surrounded me and, enshrouding my focus, kept me from seeing what was right in front of me those three words were blinding clarity and revealed diverging lines the terrible sense, cursed and protected one path was a blindfold, the other an incredible weight but it no longer rests on my shoulders, I choose to speak in tongues

Tehachapi 02:29
I had my money stolen in Kissimmee well I hadn’t set foot in florida since last july and I’m nursing four beers at the present time at a Richmond bar with what little change I’ve left casting a fleeting grin, it’s the same fleeting grin behind a champagne-filled tin toasted on New Year’s Eve behind the deep freezer at work hi-five an animal, venture out of your piss-soaked den get stranded in Tehachapi and throw pennies on the railroad tracks get stranded in Tehachapi and throw pennies on the railroad tracks there are simple thrills, and there are simple truths not the only reason to live but it’s a solid push scream along to Purple Rain driving down the U-Mass streets chase birds at Vince Lombardi just outside NYC there are simple thrills, and there are simple truths not the only reason to live but it’s a solid push

Repetition 02:41
the year ended as a cataract obscuring the eye of a wormhole layers of disease piled as high as smokestacks in the new york city skyline I bet it looked great from the rooftops I couldn’t see at all I bet it looked fucking majestic form the rooftops I couldn’t see at all fuck, how many times have I spat bullshit after bullshit and never followed through? this lap, this pass, this go-around I’ll stake my claim this is my subversion, this isn’t my revolution wrecked on genesee and anxiety was my way of staying busy blowing off plans and planning milestones that weren’t worth their salt I spilled my stomach’s contents in the shower every morning I spilled my guts, that’s I lie I spent page after page listing everything still caught in my throat it was all drivel anyways, as unrecognizable as that splat in the shower blah blah blah
